Headers

Anyone know if someone makes headers for the 1.6L Pro? 90-94.

The 1st gen Protege never came with a 1.6L, so finding headers might prove difficult.
Didn't the Protege GT have the 1.6L engine? As well as a turbo? I'm pretty darned certain, I looked right at one the other month in the JY...

but yeah, a header would be pretty difficult to get for it for sure.

Wonderful, that's not a protege.
if he truly has a 1.6 in his Pro, then this WILL work...just to clarify.

Protege GTs have the same 1.8 DOHC as the American LXs. Only difference between the Canadian GT and a fully loaded American LX is the sport interior, and red pin striping. Just thought I'd clarify that again.

Whatever motor you have, just get a custom header made. There's a guy in Hamilton Ontario here who does it for $400 Canadian, so I can't see it being hugely expensive there....

Also a spoiler.

The 1.6L GT mentioned above was the 323 GT (sedan) with a 1.6L turbo engine... same as the 323 GTX engine. It however did not have 4wd.

Do you have any conact information for that guy in Canada who makes headers? The shops around me would probably charge a hell of a lot more than that!

Nobody 'above' mentioned a 1.6L GT. They asked about the Protege GT. "Protege" disqualifies the cars made prior to 1990 ie, a 323 sedan, is not a Protege.

Also, a fully loaded LX would HAVE a spoiler....

The person got the names and stats mixed up Josh. The person described a 323 GT (turbo 1.6L sedan) but called it a Protege GT.

....and NO. Americna LXs did NOT have spoilers. There was NO factory spoiler in the states (on the first gen).

Whups, forgot about that. I'll get you that # tomorrow. I'm there's got to be a place out where you are that would do it though...you just need a good exhaust shop, that can do custom stainless welding(and some know-how of course..)

but I'll get you that # anyway...
