my new "intake"...hey air is air right??
I had to do it to see what the fuss was about. I purchased the "ebay intake". It was $35 shipped to my door. Not bad considering my last air filter was $50 for a K&N (waste of money).
This is not my actual car, but the exact same thing I ordered. I'm wanting to get some new couplers for it. any ideas where ican get them?? no wait nevermind...ebay.

Rod, they actually work well, so what if it doesnt have "INJEN" written all over it. I actually used an Ebay intake for the 2.0L and converted it to work on mine by simply plugging the IAT hole with a vacuum plug. got mine $35 to my door...and my filter is still a K & N cone with a heat sheild that looks like a Blitz BOV.

after careful inspection of my auction it looks like I did in fact only get long enough piping to make it a SRI....it has the bracketry that the CAI does, but it so short looking.....either way I'm going to try it out to see what it does. If it's junk or looks like *** I'll powdercoat it and sell it to someone else.

Ok guys, intake is in and on...looks good. Much better than I thought it would. Sound is great, look is great.....no noticeable performance gain up to 60mph (fastest I've gone with it)
My friend is taking pictures of it now and will email them to me tonight. Hopefully they will turn out good...
There was slight modification that needed to be made, but nothing major. Bending of one supplied bracket and cutting in half of the broze bracket that coolant overflow attaches to.

I've had mine on for about a year now. They sent me blue couplers and tubing I'm might order another intake, just to get red. I suppose I can hit eBay for the couples.
Did they list the two modifications? Mine just came with two straight, flat brackets. I bent one and attached the other to it to form an "L", mounted the "L" upside down and attached the MAF. I didn't do anything to the coolant overflow. Just wondering. . . some instructions would've been nice.

I bent the bracket and trimmed off the coolant bracket. Also, I was able to just bolt the one bent bracket to one screw on the MAF with a washer to snug it in place then the other bolt to the battery tray and used 1 10mm nut to hold it in place...no movement at all. Looks great. will post pictures here very soon.
