messed it up

what i'm hoping its not... what signs point to exploded lsd vs clutch?
what can I "test" to tell which one actually happened?
I jacked the front of car up, put it in 1st gear, you can hold one tire and turn the other tire by hand...
I then started the car, put it in 1st, both wheels spin on problem...
oh well, taking it next week to get it looked @
the new "welded msp lsd" on protegegarage.com - good / bad?
good part to be a guinea pig?

getting it fixed it was the lsd, nothing else broke (but replacing the flywheel - previous owner messed it up...)
broken unit is being rewelded, then, new clutch/back to stock flywheel, should be up and running by end of week (depending on when flywheel gets here)
so.. - broken LSD - total cost:
$500 Labor (take transmission out/clutch/flywheel - reassemble) - friend of my father-in-law's
$290 - Competition Clutches Stage 1 www.competitionclutches.com (6 puck) - bought @ Street
Stuff (soon to be renamed 3d auto)
$50 - stock flywheel - ken @ protegegarage.com

that's not too bad...think of it as an upgrade, rather than a repair...it'll hurt less
don't you wish mazda made diff's as good as ford ???
well, I'm thinking rwd anyway...what's stronger than a ford 9 inch

Got it back today - $400 labor - runs like new, waaayy better than last clutch/flywheel, just no slipping its either GO, or no go, no slow go... haha
and also: when i bought it guy told me it had a "stage 3" ACT.. right... looks like a street clutch to me.
