you may want to try to use a cotton swab and some contact lens solution and gently clean the probe , it may help. If you have aftermarket intake, it may be collecting too much dirt.(I dunno, just maybe). Any way, Mazda did extend the warranty on that part to 70,000 miles because there were quite a few problems with it.

all i needed was a o- ring gasket now im fine but anyway a mew maf for 1.6l pros are only 100 dollars at my local dealership thats cheap but i dont need one now
