a K&N drop in replacement filter

Has anyone installed a K&N drop in replacement filter in a P5? If so, how does it work?

Not sure of what you are asking? It replaces the stock air filter. Nothing else is required

I had one before changing to a CAI. Didn't notice any difference whatsoever in the car, but I had purchased it as an economical choice since I drive about 65K miles a year. I do know that many places will tell you "they don't make one for the sedan, only the P5." I got my old one if you want it cheap. (Pay for Shipping and it's yours)

None that me or my Glute-O-Sensor (butt) could tell.

i have a k&n drop-in in my 03.5 auto p5 and i don't notice any difference. if there is any performance benfits, it's so marginal there might as well not be any. if you're looking for a cost benefit in the long run, then this is what you're getting.

You hardly notice a difference with a SRI or CAI...much less a drop in air filter
