So in the same vein, I guess Monster Cables for audio are also a waste of money, huh?

Yea I've heard it makes a big difference where they are attached and the path they follow. They say to try a few different locations to get the best results. I am very interested where you attached yours.

This is the connection I used. The basic idea is to ground major engine components and chassis without shorting any circuit.
I wanted to ground the engine block (below the cylinder head), but couldn't find a suitable location to bolt the grounding wire to, so I used the body frame near the "Injen Hole".

Works for me..... FWIW. Did it mostly for improvement in 600 WRMS stereo system, but it seems to help a bit in power delivery as well. And, today was the first time I've seen over 24mpg city/highway driving (back and forth to work, running around, etc.) It seems to have helped fuel economy a bit too!
4 gauge JSC oxygen free copper high strand stereo wire (hey, I can get this stuff cheap!)
Engine to Chassis

Battery to Chassis

Engine to Battery

Another angle of #3 shot

Tada!

I dug up some ground cables left over from previous aircraft projects and installed 2 new grounds. One from the battery to engine and one from the other side of engine to existing ground point on right fenderwell. I don't think it's any faster, but it sure feels smoother below 3000 rpm. Price was right and it didn't take long. I think you could use pre fabricated battery cables from any auto parts store.
