Question Iridiums

I have asked around to some of my distributors and they all say the part #'s haven't been released yet. They are available, but I cannot find the # anywhere. My question is, why wouldn't the plugs from last years 2.0L fit? I don't see why they wouldn't.
Anyway, if there is anyone out there that could learn me a little something, I would appreciate it.

Denso Iridium Part Number IK18 or IK20 or IK22 are the part numbers you want for the Iridium plugs for our cars I had a set but I threw them away by mistake.

Thanks for the help guys. Too bad about throwing your plugs away. I would have gladly taken them off your hands. Anyway, thanks again.

You melted the electrode and didn't do any engine damage? That sounds like an extreme lean condition. Anyway, I can get these things pretty cheap, so I figure I will throw them in with my next oil change.
Also, does anyone have a preference between the Denso and NGK? I can get either, so I would rather get the one that most others prefer. Thanks.
