Exclamation INTAKE brackets

Hey Yall, I just installed a new Intake. The problem is that I couldn't find a place to support the intake with the bracket given. All you with Ractive Intakes, could you tell me or SHOW me where you mounted your brackets. Right now, my Intake is just there without any support, so I want to be able to race my car without any worries . Else, I guess I'm gonna have to use some ghetto cable ties to tie it to something like the strut bar.

All you with Intakes, please help. Thanks

by a strong "L" bracket. (I got mine at Canadian Tire) and mount it on the engine. There is a screw on the engine block, to the left of your Mass Air Flow thingy. I try to post my mic of it cuz I have a very nice picture of it. Make sure that the pipe comming out of the throatle body is not to low, cuz otherwise it will rattle against that thing that is located 4 inches from the throtle body.

I used a 5" L bracket and cut one end down to 4" and it fit perfect. I cut the end and drilled a new hole for the end that will be vertical when installed to bring it down to the right height so that it lines up with the screw hole on the MAF. If you do a search on "intake install" you will see pictures somebody else posted. It will give you a good idea what I'm talking about. It's not necessary to cut the intake pipe down in my opinion. Mine fits perfectly with no changes to the intake. It actually takes longer taking out all the parts of the stock system than installing the new one.

There are some pics that might give you an idea of where the brackets go. The first link is the pics that showed me how to put it together and where everything went.
