Hp Racing

HP RACING is making a header for our 2.0L cars. It will be available in May. I spoke with them directly today to confirm this. Unfortunatly he did not have any information on pricing as he said the NOPI does all of their retailing. They have some pics of their headers at: http://www.hpracing.com/ I will most likely be getting this header depending on its price.

Ah, we have a race. Who's it going to be AWR or HPR. They both have good products, but the first market will get my money. Come on boys, Daddy needs a pipe!

I don't think that the AWR header has the O2 sensor hookup and that is going to be my deciding point. The HP one will as I talked to them this morning. As I understood it the AWR headers are available. You can contact Anthony of AWR or call Mazda Motorsports all though they are more expensive.

Hey Im looking into getting the underbody coating on my car. Can I still put this on after I do it. I was told the exhaust would have be done prior.

NICE! Now for some questions. What will the headers be made of (ie stainless steel, mild steel, etc)? What design are they using (ie 4-1, 4-2-1, etc)? Is this a "race only" header? Any figures on HP and TQ gain?

Hope you don't mind the bombardment

You can swap exhausts after the undercoating. I'd ask, "why do you want you underbody coated?" but that'd belong in another thread.

Well Im taking the car to Iceland. Lotsa salt. Dealer says that the uncoat seals in the exhaust and prevents its removal. probably lying.

Hey, is HP Racing in Hampton area.

not that I know of. They are in CA I think. I know of no parts manufacturers in our area; only know of speed shops.

They are located in Floridal. I met with them at the SEMA show last year. They manufactured the IS300 header for Toyomoto. That should give you an idea of the quality.

They've listed the production of this header since the SEMA show and I've been actively awaiting for them to give me the green light.

They will produce a ceramic coated and stainless steel. NOPI shouldn't be their only retailer as I have access to their products as well.

Rishie

There's some more companies too, but nobody wants to hit the market first. They all want to come at the same time, doesn't sound too smart to me. Apparently our P5 is very low on the priority list in comparison to the RSX whose header was put at the top.

the HP RACING in glen burnie is a rip off. u can buy all the **** off of NOPI for less. plus they dont like mazdas...so screw em. only thing i could ever find in that store for a Mazda was some Seatbelt pads. i got em to drop the price $5 cause they only had one pair!

lol....stick with NOPI ppl, not HP!

they even took the 3rd gen Altezza tails off their shelves!

that is a completely different HP Racing than what we are talking about. We are talking about the parts manufacturer. I am not sure if the header will be a 4 into 1 or try-y or what however it will not be a race only. Will have all emission stuff needed and there are not any gain statements yet that I can find on the internet or from talking to them directly. All I know is that the header will have the O2 sensor interface and it will be ready in May.
