Use a blend every 4000km or so.

I dont put a lot of mileage on my vehicles, so I go 6 months between changes, weather its synthetic or not. I use synthetic in my truck and dino oil in the mazda.

How often do you change the filter, with the oil change or with the oil change and in between? (ex. If you go 5,000 miles betweeen oil change, you change the filter at 3,000 miles and at 5,000 miles)

Change the filter at the same time as the oil. No more, no less

Mobil1 and new filter every 5,000-6,000 miles.. the car uses zero oil so might as well have a long interval..

3750 miles do an oil change and a tire rotation. Running Mobil1.

Whenever I do an oil change I make sure and add a big bottle of Pro-Long to the mix. NOT!

Every 8,000 km (5,000 mi). That's what Mazda states is required under the "severe service" schedule, so I'm sticking to it so that they have no excuse to not honour their warranty obligations. Out of warranty, I may look at a different interval.

I use regular oil and change every 5000 miles among with rotating the tires to get even ware. Do any of you think or notice a great difference with using synthetic oil......?

I notice a slight difference, in terms of how to car feels. Thats about it. I love my car, I think it deserves expensive oil every 5k miles

Ive noticed increased gas milage on my truck with mobil 1 oil, but im using 0-W-30, so its pretty thin stuff.

Good synthetic can actaully "clean" your engine also. It will help remove and flush out deposits that were already present .

3000 miles or 3 months, no matter what. I use a name brand oil (anything but Castrol crap), a good oil filter (Fram, Penske, OEM).
I have had cars that reached 200,000 miles without having to do anything to the motor internals, including an RX-7.

Thats funny. Castrol is generally accepted to be an excellent oil and Fram filters have been proven many times to be complete garbage.

I think you might have some things backwards.....

You might want to steer clear of Castrol Syntec also, since its a petroleum based oil sold at synthetic oil prices.

Stick with Mobil 1
