Same way you dyno a standard. Let it get to top gear and then run the test. Most people use the gear that is closest to 1 to 1 ratio. Do the autos have 3 or 4 gears? If 3, then test in top gear. If 4, then 4th is an overdrive and you want to test in 3rd.

I know the guys on the supra site used to jumper some control block to lockthe car in 3rd gear, maybe you should look into how to do that. A mazda tech may know how.
