i have had my 99 1.6 for about 2 yrs and i have just now been having serious problems.so far i have cut the resinator out and installed an n1 style muffler.a ebay short ram intake,and bosch platinum plus 4 plugs.here goes the problems,i seem to be missing when the car is under a load.sometimes real bad and i have to stop and try again.only thing i can think of is,a bad coil pack or wire,timing off(timing belt has never been replaced 102,000 miles),or absolutely no back pressure due to no resinator(its real loud too).if anyone has ANY input please let a bra know,thanks.

hmm i did the same ****!!!! I took off the resonator, got custom piping, 3AC racing muffler, new plugs, wires r still good. my car seems to feel like it has a loss of power. i filled the gas with plus and added stp treatment; worked for a little but prob still there. I injecters dirty, maybe o2 sensor, or a vaccum leak. Im gonna go hit up autozone & get the codes pulled up. ya can use som advice on this one!!!!
