you're 100% correct! You'd also need 100% full fuel and timing control.

I'd like to see it done, but without controlling valve lift and timing as a function of engine speed, there's no way to get both a decent bottom end and 100hp/liter up top. Not with just AFR/ignition timing control.

Wow, this is OT...maybe we should start an FS-DE pipe dream thread?

Well, it's not THAT far from believable...If a Sport20 makes 170bhp with a modified intake manifold and SLIGHTLY upgraded intake camshaft why wouldn't a completely upgraded top end package yield 30-50hp?

To make power you need 3 things....Insane breathing ability, fuel and spark. I'll give you all of those if you wanna come and stay with me for a week or two. (and pay for the parts). Labor is on me.

That may be entirely possible--I'm just saying it will come at the expense of bottom end.

One more thing you need for power--that's speed. Power is work per unit time, so the faster you spin the more power you'll make, as long as the other elements that you indicated can keep up.

the FSZE has alot more than just cams and a manifold to make 40 more hp than a FSDE...
