Differences in generational 2L FS03's

alright, i searched and i couldn't find much information on this, and i'm quite interested... what are the differences between the 2L's of the probes/mx6's/proteges from the early 90's to the late 90's, and the ones being put in the new MSP's/P5's and so on? is it basically the same motor, or is there subtle differences like more temp sensors, newly designed IM, stuff like that? if its been covered before please direct me to the thread because i couldn't find it , if it hasn't, feel free to edit my title to make it a little more finder friendly...

thanks

so hypothetically i could take a 2.0L out of a 96/97 probe/mx6 (they had OBD2 as well) and toss it in a 3g protege without any major problems? cus i plan on picking up a 2L cheap and building it up, and i'm sure i can get one from a probe a lot cheaper than from a pro...

thanks for the info

hehe I was going to do the same thing, my friend had a 2.0l probe with brand new motor he was selling for $150, but I realized that they had distributers and changed my plans. :-P
