camshaft options?

Can anyone clarify the difference between the j-spec cams(sport 20) and mazdaspeed cams? Are those just different names for the same cams or are they different. If so which is better?
And how hard is it to install cams? Will someone with no mechanical backround do it (me)

they are the same....j-spec cams are commonly reffered to as mazdaspeed cams. no relation to the MSP.

They are not simple to install if you have little to no experience. I suggest having a trained mechanic do it for you.

Cams will provide more power, though no one seems to be able to back up the actual affect of the jdm cams with dyno data.
It's a lot of work for a newbie, but really not all that hard if you have the time and patience to do it right.
On the "other forum", there is a pretty accurate/ detailed "how-to" on it:

Also, I provided an explaination about cams to you in a previous thread,

Please let me know if you have any questions about my response, Stueck. I would be happy to help you understand them better.
