Cams and tuning

I'd like to do cams on my P5 but I cannot find info on how they react with stock valves/valve springs. Also I cannot find a fuel curve or if the ECU can keep up with a bigger lift and duration. I guess to make it short, can I use the Mazda speed cams (j spec?) without tuning and not risk engine damage? Will the cams cause lean conditions?

the Mazdaspeed cams are a direct bolt-in...no other modification is necessary....HOWEVER with better fuel control you can take better advantage of these cams

I'm just concerned about leaning out. Anybody have an a/f to go with a dyno?

i have the j-spec cams...try to track down a mp3 ecu...it'll run a lot better. i ran the cams without the ecu for about 8 months with no problems.

So what engine type is the Mazdaspeed J-spec cams a direct bolt-on for? Are any available for the 1.6 liter? Do you (meaning anyone) know if cams from a similar displacement engine Miata will bolt/swap with the sedan?
