alright i just recieved the 8m-c09 exhaust and it is the mazdaspeed style for the sedan. if any of you have or are going to order an exhaust its the 0000-8m-c10 for p5's and 0000-8m-c09 for sedans. if you are thinking about adding the mp3 rear skirt i would go with the 0000-8m-c08 which is the mp3 exhaust and it hangs a little lower to clear the added skirt. hope that helps you guys.

zoom i cant post pics since i have no camera at work.(i work parts for a mazda dealer and thats where i recieved the exhaust and i dont personally have a pro) i can say on the p5 the exhaust fits and looks perfect and while we havent installed this one on a sedan yet i would have to say it will be the same. as far as sound goes, imho 99% of the four bangers out on the road with aftermarket exhausts sound for sh#t. but i do have to say i really like the sound of the mazdaspeed exhaust. it has a nice deep tone to it and is not raspy at all. it seems to be a straight through design and im sure it will result in better flow. but as with any exhaust dont be expecting to feel the difference. anyways if any of you are looking for an exhaust i would definitely go with the mazda sport exhausts and if any of you are in the joliet, IL area stop in bill jacobs mazda. i could get them for ya for under 200.

Well, I just got back from the parts department and they left my exhaust in the warehouse (which is closed today). This after I got a notice in the mail that it was ready AND I called to confirm it was there. I just wasted an hour and I'll be writing them a letter now to let them know I am not pleased. Dammit.

Is it just me, or does the Mazdaspeed exhaust not fit quite right.

By that I mean the stock muffler pipe has an indented circle in it .. into which fits this little flexed gasket from the exhaust pipe. So there is a better seal from pipe to muffler.

My Mazdaspeed muffler doesn't have this indent so the little gasket thing just kinda sits on the end and I have just tightened it up so it is a solid seal. Of course if the join moves at all there will be leakage so I'm thinking maybe I'm missing a part that goes around there? Or should I think about modifying the gaskety thingy that sits in the flange? Can I just take it off altogether?

Hopefully this makes sense .. I would be interested to hear from those of you who have the Mazdaspeed muffler exactly what pieces came with it and how the flange matches up to the stock pipe. Detailed pictures of the flange joint would be appreciated

I ordered mine last week from the dealer and it only took 3 days to get it.
I paid $185 plus tax.
