I'm looking to buy a 96 protege. What should I look for when testing the car. Is there anything that these cars are infamous for going wrong. I've owned three MX-3 Gs's and I know a little about Mazda engines. Just sold my GS and don't want to get a civic. Any input would be appreciated.

well if you do buy a 96 , try and get the ES , as you will get the bigger engine and sunroof , and 4 wheal disc brakes, basically all the stuff i wish I had in my 95 dx
