in the states there is no law against r134, hence its introduction as an r-12 alternative since people were doing what i stated can be 'safely done if careful' with r134.

r134 has no ozone depleting element, it is simply an environmently safe gas that, when under pressure, decreases its ambient temperature.

this can be safely done with a key since mazda keys are long, and you are unable to depress the release pin anymore than 1mm, which would allow for about ~30lb/minute draw. you can also often assume the first 10 pounds of pressure are infact oxygen because any oxygen in the system is lighter than the coolant and will travel to the exit faster.
