Can anyone shed light on hardweld cams?

Ok, i know that hardweld cams are when material is welded onto the cams to build it up so there is more options when its getting regrinded.....

now, im just wondering about the downsides to this?

do our cars have Hydraulic lash adjusters??
would we have to do valve adjustments any sooner (like sooner than the manufacturer recommended)

is it less reliable?
will the different types of metal conflict with eachother??

is it worth my money for a mild street grind??

or should i just get my current cams regrinded without them being hardwelded...

i have the 1.5L DOHC

if anyone can help, id appreciate it
thanks
