went to the junkyard this weekend
And I came across an 89 Mercury Tracer. It had a DOHC in it and it looked like the engine out of the Protege. Did I just find another car to look at for an engine swap?

if its a Tracer LTS(has a red stripe along the side molding); it has the same DOHC as the LX Pro's...but i thought they came out in '90....

lol my best friend drives an old (but in damn good shape) 88 Tracer Hatchback, 5 speed, that thing is a beast. Pretty zippy little engine, even if it isnt too fast.
