Hi, I a Protoge 1st gen car ( We call it Interplay here - From Sri Lanka) it has a 1.5L engin.
Would any one have a usermanual that I can get via over the net I just did a new pain job, & am looking at doing some modifications

 

1.5? I didn't think 1st gens came with a 1.5L engine. That's itty-bitty.

 

You probably meant 2nd gen. Check Ebay for the manual.

 

no, it is 1st gen with those curved headlights, 1.3 and 1.5 models. protege interplay, he is right, 1.5 exists, something like 85hp i think.

 

Maybe the car is a 323, but not a Protege. All 1st gens (90-94)are 1.8L

 

oh,no, they are not! you see my avatar? that is my 1990 LX and it is 1.6 SOCH, thats what it says in registration book, i would post a picture of it but i cant because it is not uploaded anywhere. also it says that it is 65kw, if it is B6E engine, that isnt it because 65kw is 90 hp, not 80. conclusion: help me guys! what do i have????? how to show you the picture?

 

Your car is most likely a 323, but not a Protege.

Hello guys! There were other models in places besides North America! It's quite possible for him to have a 1.5L Protege, or even the turbodiesel protege.

As for finding a service manual, it's probably going to be a bit hard, as most of the ones you do find are for the North American 1.6/1.8L engine 323s/Proteges, but you never know what EBay might have. You can even go to the dealer, but they probably will charge a lot of money for a new one.

Also see if they publish something like the Haynes manual at the auto store, those can be helpful.

 

chiltons states mazda manufacturing the 1.5L Z5 and the 1.6L B6 engines... for proteges/323.. but the book is also for the millenia, mx-6 and the mx-3?? this would be relevant to cars sold in america. i have no clue, i wasn't lucky enough for a haynes.

yeah they have that car the interplay in GT2 and like he said he's from sri lanka so maybe he does have a 1.5?
