Universal gauge pods?

Universal gauge pods?
I have a 1991 protege SE and it only comes with the standard console gauges so there is no tach. I've seen the gauge cluster from a LX and it has the same connectors on the back as the SE's and has the tach. I was wondering if the two clusters are interchangable?

Well search would work if people knew how to SPELL correctly and I didn't have to try every misspelling of the word to find anything. On top of that why couldn't you just answer my question instead of being a troll and spamming so you could get your avatars.
I'll ask again since the only mention of the gauge cluster is for an older protege that supposedly has a harness unlike my gauge cluster which has the contacts printed on the the plastic film on the back of the cluster.

and as edwin and the rest of the mods are SICK of replying to posts that they have replied to before. Your a newbie and do not care, but ocne you've been on the forum for a long time, you see the same threads over and over, and we end up NOT replying ebcuse we say F it and that perosn does not get an answer from a credible source. SO thats why we say FAQ or SEARCH, because it HAS been posted before and we want to spend our time replying to threads that are worthwile, not because someone was too lazy to search

Here's a thought: Don't reply!
Do you have some little gremlin holding a gun to your head forcing you to reply to every post you read????
That would prolly explain how you got to 742 posts How do you spell crazy?
Take it easy. It's nice to see the kind of warm welcome you give the newbies! This place is for asking questions. It's not a glorified search engine that serves as your own personnal picture posting board! This crap is what made me leave Protegetech. I'm not about to let you ruin this board for me too...
If something bothers you because it's not beung posted in the right section, then fine, complain. But you have no right to tell this guy not to ask questions.
