tranny problem

i'm tryin to figure out why my tranny wenmt out. someone told me it was the selinoids. someone told me it was the gears welded together, and someone said it was the valve body. btw, the prblem with the tranny is is stays in drive. which is the solution and how do i fix it?

Sounds like your linkage is out of adjustment. Not really familiar with the autos though so you'll have to take a look at it and figure it out yourself. If you're even half competent you should be ale to figure it out. Its not that difficult.

the autoclutches could be melted together have u been reving real high in neutral then shifting to drive

i got a ? why did mazda put such a shitty auto in the first gen im on my 3rd trany

whoa..

my father rebuilds trannys and hes rebuilt mine twice,but he was tellin me in these trannys its not good to be shifting them inand out of gears...u should just leave it in drive.Im about to rebuild it again foir the 3rd time....but this time my Hi-stall converter ate up the clucthes (or so i think)...dam BPT

I live in Miami where there's a lot of stop and go traffic and before both my Proteges got crashed(did not own them at the same time), I never had a tranny problem. I can't tell you how reliable those cars were.
