Question Sony Headunit Aux? Mp3

I have a sony cassete receiver with cd changer control and an mp3/CD player with car kit (cassete adapter) but it always has some noise in the background!
I WANT CLEAR SOUND

I pulled out the receiver and it has 2 RCA audio inputs ,2 RCA outputs and somethig like a MIDI or MIC connector .
I connected the player to the RCA inputs and select the source and it dind,t work !
Is there any way to make it work?
ANOTHER OPTION
Also i have seen some direct FM MODULATORS how good is the sound quality with those ?

Do you have a model number for that player?

Those RCA plugs are probably front and rear stereo outputs only...
The "MIDI" thing is probably the CD-changer plug, where you connect the CD-changer to the headunit...
