These are the new sony subs for 2003. They've got a pretty overbuilt motor structure (300 watts rms, 1100 max), not bad for $59 (cost me $40 each). Just threw 3 of these bad dogs in my car today, sounds pretty wicked.
so come on guys....lets hear all of the negative remarks!

very true....but three pentagon shaped subs has quite an 'awww' factor when you pop the trunk at a car show even if they only perform like a good 12 or 10. Since I'll never be competing in a DB drag and I could always pick more of them up for $40 if need be, it didn't seem like a bad choice. Besides, the larger surface area of 3 tens will give me a much deeper sounding note than 1 ten, no matter what the power difference, and deep is what gets the chicks horny
1 other note, the three 10's wired in parallel produce a 1.33 ohm load, which my amp seems to just love (cranking out around 900 watts RMS when running at 14.4 volts)

**** - I have about a $20 Kenwood sub and CRAPPY amp in my wife's Jeep, and it gets a little bump.
I'm sure the sub would perform better with a better amp, and with some good power and THREE of them, it would thump pretty well.
For $40 each, it's worth it even if they explode in a month.
