RPM drops

i got a question. lately during the summer time while i drive this is what i notice. its from a complete stop. im constantly stepping on the gas and it'll go up to like 2500 and then drop a little bit with my foot stil constantly on the gas. then it will go back up after 2-3 seconds and drive normally. only happens in 1st or 2nd gear going from a start i noticed. 92 sohc automatic. do u think it has anything to do with the filter? maybe its dirty? i got my stock air box in there as of right now.

any ideas???? thanks

my transmission works fine. lets me go as fast as i want but sometimes it gets kinda jerky. kinda weird for a fairly new tranny with only 10k on it. =\

changing the tranny fluid and filter would be a good start. also another thing. is the engine reving up with the tech or not. cuz if so that would more link it to the distribitor. sorry i couldnt come up with something better then that.

Alright just asking. Replacing your plugs and wires is not a bad way to start. Have you done it before? Also, fuel filter could be another thing.

yeah i replaced plugz and wires but didnt replace the cap/rotor around winter time. and i know for a fact the fuel filter is WAY overdue lol. i was going to one day but when i couldnt get to it, i lost my mood of tackling down the fuel filter. i'll just wait till the weather cools down a bit.

shoot, when I am at a light sometimes at night , and stepping on the brake and the radio playing and the headlights on , the cars tach will dip down to like 400 , the car will stumble and then it will come back up ,, sometimes it just stays down there , but never stalls,,,,
beyond me
