Power Seat Belts Possessed

Now it only happens on my drivers side, but when i have the car idling and i have the drivers door open, sometimes the belt won't go forward, and the few times it does, sometimes it goes back and forth several times. and sometimes it stutters, going back and forth rapidly, never choosing where it wants to go. groharlem pointed out to me that the wiring to my door latch could be going bad or the latch itself needs some lubrication, but i still have yet to get it looked at. anybody ever have this problem?
peace

It's not an uncommon problem, it sounds like the door switch, which isn't the one that you see with the pin sticking out that activates the dome light, it's part of the door hinge.

Good luck. It might be worthwhile to try cleaning it, with an electronics cleaner, you usually can find something like QD electronics cleaner at the auto parts store (Pep Boys, etc).
