Our Rivals?

What if any car would be considered a rival to our pros? A Sentra maybe? Civics are everyones rival think. Who knows?

*puts on an aristocratic air* a civic is by no means a direct rival of the protege. it is in the same segment, yes, but it falls short in every category (excluding the si) the sentra more recently...id say in all honesty the closest rival quality/performance etc wise, without taking price into consideration is a bmw 318 ti

Pretty much every major car company has at least one model in the same class (and I use the term "class" loosely)... Corolla, Escort, Sentra, Civic, Boxster, H2, ya know..... (heh heh)

Anyway, the Protege blows them all away. The Protege5, on the other hand, just blows. Get a first gen.

well, think by definition, 4 door sports compact... or 4 door compact sedan. any car that is short.. or in comparisson and length of our cars would be 'rivals'. some of these 'rivals' would knock the socks off of our cars stock. i mean, i don't know where the term 'full-size' and 'compact cut in. i mean clearly, a malibu or a monte carlo have 4 door trim models that fall into full-size... all the cars buick practically make are full-sized sedans. compact wise, i'd say an escort, a contour.. i don't know. i mean, you have no idea how many times i pull into a parking space all the way and have trouble finding it in the mall parking lot because almost every other sedan, truck, suv, station wagon DWARFS my car. can't really help you out there bud.
peace

we have alot of rivals, but im my "town" and on base the few proteges around here "fight" with the local hondas (acuras). IMO the 2nd gen Chrysler Cavalier is another rival, 2.2liter engine that we pull on.

chevy cavalier...and i stand buy my bimmer assertion...the 1.8 liter bmw is not as fast as us, bigger, more 'spensive, and only is comparable in the interior for quality...so we just payed 13000 less (new, in 93) for a car thats faster, handles just as well, and perhaps doesnt look quite as good, but has the same quality

lmao if you check youll notice i didnt say anything about racing. You dont have to be speeding down a darkstreet to be someones rival . Dont tell me know ones ever reved at you, ok, so you know what i mean then.

you don't have to be racing to "blow" a rival away if your at a light or something and someones behind you reving. You just rev out 1st and 2nd let off when u reach the speed limit. It's not racing!
