In ur mods i see nothing that would of cost u 6 grand plus. What did u buy? Ive seen Bpt motors sell for 700 bucks that i can drive to pick up and i can prob get a motor for 1000 shipped if i wanted too just gotta wait for the deals. I dont think u can swap in a sr20 motor into a 240 for anything less than 3000 ...Jon

HAHAHAHA

i think you misunderstood me, or most likely i didn't explain myself, sure, in "mods" so to speak, i've put about $1500 dollars tops on making the car.. better to drive sound system and muffler..air filter..not like that **** counts. i have spent $6000 (not all out of pocket of course) for repairs ie. $2200 for frontal collision, $1800 for rebuilt tranny, up to about $1000 for rear end work involving e-braking at 45 mph to avoid drunk driver.. that was new rear suspension work, new rims, new brakes and rotors... so if you put it all into perspective, i've put a little under $6000 bucks of work into my protege.. boy, i do sound like an idiot

*bought car for $4500*

Demoninvictus, I wouldn't consider you an idiot for spending $$$ on your car. As far as crash damage repairs go, hey it's gotta be fixed, right??
Now if it was an old Pinto or other POS like a Yugo, I would be razzing the hell out of you.

u dont use ur e-brake much do u??

I used mine at 55 mph, n its perfectly fine... and its better to spend pocket change on ur car than a loan or money u save up, then u dont go too far over what u want to spend...

and if i ever spend 6000 on my car, my dad would prolly kick me out of the house, and my friends would beat my ***...
