neon lights problem

Hey everybody. I installed 2 neon tubes underneath my seats in my protege. Looks good. But I noticed, that one of them takes a few seconds to come on sometimes whereas the other lights up immediately everytime. The one that takes a few seconds is newer than the other one, i didn't buy em at the same time. Is this a wiring problem?? Or a defective tube?? Whatcha guys think?

bro, be glad they even light up ...manufacturer's of neon lights produce the most fantastic crap in the world... and no two neon lights are alike to an extent. don't sweat it.. eitherwise, just rip em out.. doesn't sound like a wiring problem
peace

haha thanks. you're right, they do make crap. i spent all summer arguing with LIGHTGLOW, a neon light company, cause they kept sending me either the wrong color, or tubes that didn't light up. what a pain in the ***. i ordered underbody neons from them, it took me all summer to get the right ones, and finally after they were on the car only a month, one of them burnt out. by the way, the undercarriage on the proteges is very difficult to find a flat surface to mount neons on. save your money for something else. and if you're gonna get em, stick with STREETGLOW, don't be cheap like me. later.
