Cool My new suspension is IN !!!

Well...for those of you who have read my posts for the past few weeks...i have needed a new suspension for my 92' SE. So i ordered my suspension from www.oemfordparts.com and i talked to Theresa Valley who was very helpful (thanx MSW) and ordered the ZX-2 Tokico Strut Kit and the Eibach Spring Set. i ordered the parts on Monday June 10 and recieved them Friday June 14 ( now that is fast service, they were shipped from Texas and got to southeren ontario in less then 4 days ). The total for the springs ($190 american), struts ($160 american), Shipping ($110 american) and the tax at the border ($76 cdn) the total came to $775 Candian......the generic struts and springs would have cost over $900 dollars....and these are performance parts !!! This was a great deal.....all i had to spend was $24 Canadian on the ZX-2 thrust bearings and then the $ to install....i got away with spending $950 Canadian in total for EVERYTHING !!! If anyone wants to replace the suspension on their pro...i suggest going this route...i saved $ and I got more......

The only problem that i had was with getting the thrust bearings...b/c no one keeps them in stock...after going to Canadian tire and getting the ZX-2 bearings (turns out to be the escort bearings and didn't fit ) i had to get them through the ford dealer...so the parts were suposed to be in the next morning...they came in ...and they were the wrong part...so i had to wait another day for them to come in..so a 3 hour job ended up taking 3 DAYS!!! stupid dealer....

Other than that, It Handles AWESOME.....not too stiff .....but it hugs the corners...i think that the only thing i would do to the suspension to firm up the body roll would be to add the front and rear sway bars...

overall i'm very pleased with the suspension....and am totaly ready to show it off in Missisauga soon...when we get a bunch of pro owners from the southeren ontario area together...

If it wasn't for this site...i wouldn't have had this done...thanx for anyone who helped and gave me advice...if anyone has any questions just let me know....i will try to post all of my before and after pics up by next week...
