I was driving my car today and stooped at my friends house and left my car running and realized that i havent heard my fan go on in a while. the last time im positive it worked was before winter.
How can i make sure it works ?? any suggestions??

If it's the one behind the radiator, and you have A/C, the easiest way is to turn on the A/C. This will also cause the fan behind the radiator to come on.
I had a failure of the temp sender (there are 3 of them) for the fan. Simple enough to replace (it's the one on the thermostat housing). To see if that's the problem, warm up the car and check for continuity. If there is, then the thermoswitch is working, and you'll need to look elsewhere. Oh, you could also check the relays.
To check whether the fan does work, you can jump across the fan test (TFA) to Ground (GND) on the diagnostic connector.
