does anyone know if the 94 miata 1.8 l engine is the same as the protege if so jackson racing has supercharger out there

It's not the same. Search the forum to find the differences in the engines.

The biggest reason the JRSC won't fit is because the Pro's engine is tranversely mounted, where the Miata engine is not. The only way I've seen that an SC *might* work is to use a cold-side manifold like the one that BR Performance makes for the Miata, but I still don't think their manifold will clear our upper motor mount. Besides - why bother? The return on investment is maybe 160whp. For the same money you could go GTX or KL-ZE with MUCH better yield.

No prob ... I wish there was something out there for us in the way of a supercharger. It definitely would be the easiest bolt-on around, but the price would have to be lower and I don't think that will happen either.
