look in the phone book under "automotive" and then search for a subtitle like "seat covers, upholstery", or just flip to the "upholstery" section. i'm not sure how much it costs to redye the carpet, but it would probably be cheaper just to get it steam cleaned. you gotta call around and get some quotes. although i did read a post somewhere that said you can simply dye it yourself with rit dye from the store, i'm not sure if it'll actually work. i have been wanting to try it though!

I've got to make a list of the things to fix. Right now its just my seats/carpet I'm worried about. I'll have to go check the condition of my carpet when my car comes back. What does steam cleaning do exactly? Cause right now if I sit on my seats with a white shirt it turns kind of black. I'm guessing it's dirt or something in there. Will steam cleaning make this stop? Like will it clean deep inside the seat or just the surface?

i got my entire car steam cleaned today. i'm not sure if it actually cleans "deep inside" but the MX-3 seats that i had ordered were FILTHY, and now they look GOOD the carpet looks good too. steam cleaning will clean the carpet, but as far as you wanting the carpet "fluffy", i don't think it was ever really "fluffy" to begin with (even when it was brand new). i definitely think you'd be satisfied with the look after a good steam cleaning.

they were $100 plus $40 for S&H. i bought them off of a guy from MX-3.com. you can check there, or try car-part.com to search several junkyards at the same time (i found that site thanks to mike_moss). you gotta look around though because some places want as much as $850 for them (i couldn't believe my eyes)! there are prices as low as $25 per seat, but i'm sure they are EXTREMELY messed up! some of the junkyards will try to stiff you on S&H as well. one place i called wanted $150 for S&H! i got mine FedEx'd, and it was 1/3 of that price. if you look around and ask for quotes, ask them if they can also send you a pic. that way you can get a general idea of the condition of the seats.

Taking the carpet out is easy...remove the seats, the door jam trim, and the center console...that should be about it. I did it on my Integra last October and it was fairly easy. Also, you can get a new carpet kit from shadtreeonline.com for about $149.00. It comes premolded to fit our cars perfectly. I put a kit in the Integra and was amazed at how easy and how nice it looked afterwards.

Tito, where'd you get your interior done in san diego? i don't know if i want to trust mine to some flunkies. obviosly, you've got a good line on something better than the $5 car wash. hook me up.
sorry cable, i got my interior done here in new orleans. just check the phone book and you should be able to find a few reputable places. my dad got his interior done in san diego (in national city) and they charged him $40. after they were done, his interior looked GREAT!!
