Here goes...

For interior I need to:
- Clean the seats and get rid of stains somehow. Any shampoos or something? :(
- Get a new carpet.
- Get a new carpet for the trunk. Where do I find them???

The interior isn't that bad. I just gotta get the seats washed or something. I think last time I sat on one it made my white shirt dirty.

For the exterior I need to:
- Get rid of all the dents and dings.
- Get new rims/tires.
- Fix a dent on the rightside headlight.
- Get rid of egg (my car got egged like 2-3 weeks ago) in the crevices of the door.

Can someone tell me some methods of how to wash my car?

hey i get razzed about the red paint on my 90 SE cuz it's oxidized on some panels and red and glossy on others. once i have the time to put some rubbing compound, polish, and wax it'll look fine. keep grinding it out. it's a good lil car.

check in your phone book and look under "automobile". then find the section of "auto detailing". if your seats are filthy, take it to a detail place and have them steam cleaned. i checked around in my area, and it's only $25! :D i thought is was gonna be a lot more than that. for around $70, i found a place to steam clean the seats, carpets, door panels, and shine everything up. :cool: i'm sure there's plenty of junkyards you can get the carpet from.

Does anybody here know how to take the seats out?

all you need is a ratchet and a socket, and they bolt right on out (one bolt on each corner). :D make sure you don't strip the bolt though. i did that to mine last week, and it took me a few days to get the damn thing off. :rolleyes:

Good cause I want to take the seats out and clean under them and stuff. Also, I wonder if I can take the carpets out that way. Is there a guide on taking out carpets? If I buy a new one I want to install it myself.

i'm not sure if there's an actual guide to removing the carpet, but i've been thinking about removing mine and cleaning it (if i decide not to have it steam cleaned by the detail place). it seems pretty simple, although you will have to remove the seats, door sills, center console, etc...for the carpet to actually come out completely. it's doesn't seem too hard, just a little time consuming. :cool:

Taking out the carpet seems pretty hard if you have to do all that. Dang I bet its filthy under there. But the car will be like brand new afterwards. Just think, deepcleaned seats + new carpet :D

I can't wait to get all this stuff done then sit in the finished product. I might get the seats cleaned twice just because. Probably not, but maybe. My car's in the shop now (needs new muffler, not a performance one though (I doubt my parents would buy that)).

do a search on the net for 'automobile carpet(ing)'...there are several that make molded replacement carpet.

i used a Rug Doctor machine w/the hand tool and their 'Upholstery Cleaner' to clean my truck's seats. They were VERY dirty and stained; the previous owners had smoked. The machine did a GREAT job. You can rent them from most Home Depots for $18.

yeah, some supermarkets also rent out the rug doctor machines as well for around $20. i'm lazy and don't want to hassle with it, so for the extra $5 ($25 for seats to be steam cleaned), i'm going to have it professionally done. :D

mavurik: the door sills, console, etc. only have a few screws, so it's actually not that hard. what's wrong with your carpet anyways? if the new carpet is too much, you can always redye your current carpet. ;)

How much does it cost to redye the carpet? My carpet just has stains on it and stuff. Just doesn't look clean. I'll look in my parent's newer cars and their carpets are more "fluffy" and clean. I want mine to be like that.
