Cool Intake! HP! Yah BABY!

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've been to this site...sadly, there aren't many new threads. Have we run out of things to talk about? I hope not! I have a question about the
Rx-7 VAF, what EXACTLY am I going to have to do to put one of those on? I skimmed through the old threads about this topic, but I can only find little bits of info. What year RX7 does it have to be from? Do I need to buy any adapters or crap for it?
-Here's an idea. Let's say I wanna put on a cone filter and have the RX7 VAF... What am I looking at spending? And what exactly do I need to buy? I would be willing to spend a total of $200 or so.... Whadaya say?
What other HP increasers can I do for about that price or less? (If there are any) I already have a 2" custom exhaust....so now i'm thinkin Intake. I have a K&N (rectangular) filter, but wouldn't a cone filter or some kind of CAI be much better? (PLUS the rx7 vaf)
Last I checked there was no easy way to get CAI for a 93 DX SOHC (5spd).....Anything I should know??

THANKS! I hope some of you can answer my questions!

look at mazdaspeedwest's site - its at the bottom of his sig....he has all the info you need there
and there's plenty of other info if you search on www.miataforum.com
you'll need a cone filter adaptor - i got a nice HKS one for $20 that fits the meter perfectly.
the only thing i is if this 'upgrade' will do any good on a SOHC.....

right, the RX7 VAF is good at 6000rpm +, the SOHC i beleives dies at 5500rpm.

But the info is on my site regarding the swap on a DOHC motor.

Hello everyone, I installed a RX-7 AFM in my 323 DOHC 1.8L and since I couldn't get good Idle I end up replacing the spring inside the AFM. I got some pics in my web page if you'll like to see them.

CLICK_HERE-MY-WEB-PAGE

It's good after 6000 rpm, before that I don't notice any difference
