Hey new to the forums help me out if u want

Hey yall im new to the forums and new to the mazda scene. I'm 18 years old and live in MIlwaukee Wisconsin. I just bought a 1992 Mazda Protege DX with a little over 102,000 on the dash. I only bought it a week ago but im madly in love with it. I joined this site in order to ask people who have owned these cars to give me some advice on it. I just want to know more about it and what i should look out for as far as reliability. I also want to know how to add a little more performance and how to replace the stock speakers. If there is anyone who would be willing to ive me some advice it would be much appreciated and thank you in advance.

These cars are very good, reliable cars. That's the case as long as the car was not mistreated by one of its previous owners. I have owned two and, except for a trembling problem, it had no problems. Not all of them develop the trembling problem but if yours has it, there is no cure for it. You can see a post called Bad Vibes. If yours doesn't have the problem and it wasn't mistreated, you have bought a reliable car.

Yeah as far as i know the car only had one previous owner and she took pretty good care of it. i'm glad that i got a reliable car because i cant afford to fix it if anything breaks. hopefully my engine doesnt develop that vibration thing because from what i have read it sounds pretty bad. other than that thanks for the notes and if u have info on audio or anything else please let me know. Thanks

These cars are great. My dad has a 1991 LX with 133,000 miles and it's going strong on almost all the stock parts. Mine is a J-spec street beast with 113,000 miles on it and i've loved every minute of it.I used to have a 11 second Honda and believe me, I love this car even more than my old Honda. If you are into upgrades, feel free to either e-mail me at Boostedpro@aol.com or hit me up on AIM. My screen name is Boostedpro.

He got that a very long time ago, and it isn't made anymore. If you want, you can try to get a spoiler from a Canadian model Protege. Some came with them. Good luck
