heat problems

We own a 90 protege and it has no heat now...we replaced the raditor and thermostat in july, heat was workin good till we flushed the system in november. Since then the heater only blows cold air. We've considered it may be the heater core but there is not antifreeze smell or mist. We've even checked the thermostat and that was fine. If anyone has any suggestion i would appriciate the help.

re:no heat

First, pressure check or change your thermostat...it'sone of the cheapest fixes.
It could be you have a blockage in the system, probably the heater core. It is likely that a bit of crap from the old rad was disloged when you flushed the system.

i had the same thing happen. It was just air in the system. all you do is jack up the front end a foot or so, take of the radiator cap, make sure the car is cold, NEVER OPEN A HOT RADIATOR CAP!!. then top off the coolant and let it run for about 10-15min. should be all set

If lift the car as in the previos post dosen't work ,you could check that the valve on the right side of the heater is working correctly . i had the same problem on my 92 DX. I freed up the valve and had lots of heat .
