I'm shocked that you can't find brighter stock "type" bulbs in your area, I even see them at Walmart! All the local autoparts stores carry them-good luck. BTW, where do you live?

There are tons and tons at places like
WAl-mart
Auto-zone
Advance

The thing I am puzzled with is....what do I look for? or what type...
half the time I dont trust asking the people at the stores..b/c all they want to do is sell you more crap to make money...

I would watch out putting these bulbs in. I had a friend give me pair of bulds and while they did have a cool blue tint to them, they burned way hotter. I started to notice small cracks in the headlight. Apparentlly with the heat if you get hit by rocks on the road they cause it to crack. So just beware.

Stay AWAY from the M4D TYT3 eurolites and all that bullshit.
There should be better bulbs out there. Even the PIAAs aren't that great for the money.
I suggest that you read EXTENSIVELY the information on this website and then order some bulbs from there. http://www.danielsternlighting.com/
I have H4 headlight bulbs, and the difference between the ones I bought from here and even the Sylvania Silverstars which are "supposed" to be the **** was STAGGERING.
But I think the First gens had 9003 or 9004 bulbs which he might not carry since they are **** anyways. See what the guy has and order from there. You will NOT be disappointed, I guarantee it.

Let me say that I have Silverstar superwhites that are street legal, I de-oxidzed my headlamp assembly and it is bright as hell. I believe the number for those is item # 9004 for a protege.
