P5 Headlight Question

Since researching and seeing quite a few gallery images of these cars, I've noticed one thing that seems to be different on the car I purchased. I don't know if its the angle but on the cars I've seen online they all seem to share a clear or white looking headlight. The one I bought the headlights look different in that they are black and its very easy to distinguish the separate bulbs inside the light. The car has not been modified so I don't know if its just me looking at them the wrong way.

I've heard that some Canadian p5's have blacked out headlights. Not available in the states. Or the previous owner dismantled the lights painted them himself. Either way, a lot of U.S. p5 owners would happily trade you if you don't like them.

Yeah I like them but I would love to replace the taillights with the JDM tailights, I have so many ideas. I found another great P5 forum last night but it seems to be down already, seems like this site at one time or another had lots of activity but going over the threads seems to have died off here.

www.mazdas247.com is a good protege forum for buying/selling parts and finding out information about how-to install stuff, and troubleshoot random problems.

However, don't expect much help from those guys if you're asking general questions, cuz most users have a pretty short fuse and tend to enjoy posting pointless comments to just put people down. I visit the For Sale and How-To section over there quite frequently, because it's quite useful .. but I do most of my discussing over here. It's much friendlier here and the people that stick around this forum really know their stuff. So the advice you get on here should usually be taken seriously .. as in my experience it's always been the right thing to do.
