fuel gauge...

Do someone knows if its normal when the needle of the fuel gauge goes to the 1/4 line, the fuel warning light turns on?
I meen if it doesnt have to go a little deep below that 1/4 line?

I guess it isn`t that an exactly 1/4 of the tank.

And when I turn a little hard to right or left and the fuel warning light is on the car stops running until I go strait, its that normal?

How deep can go the needle of the fuel gauge until the car runs out of gas?

Thanks for your help!

At some critical point right at the light activation, swerving left and right probably will cause the light to flash on and off. If the car swerves left and the sensor is on the right side of the tank, the gas level will go up on the right side of the tank and turn off the light; if the sensor were on the left side of the tank then it would turn on.

This should only be noticable right when the light will come on and when turning rather aggresively, though.

sometimes when you are having a slow response from the fuel sensor after starting your car, it may show empty or close to it for a while before the needle gets up there.

a fuel sensor is just a resistivitor. they do go with time. have the voltage output on it checked. and if need be recalibrated.
