Escort Auto Transmission

I have a 1992 Mazda Protege LX Sedan With the DOHC engine and i would like to know if the A/T in the Mazda and Escort are interchangeble

This might be really stupid, but did they make any auto tranny GTs of those years? I know the previous gen Escort GTs were only 5 spd. Just curious because I don't think I've ever seen an automatic EGT.

yeah u gotta make ure it's a GT cuz that crappy 1.9 liter they made is differen't then the engine in our cars plus yo woldn't want that tranny anyway it sucks.....at leat mine did
