IF,...yeah right. i think what Trish meant was "i got busted out and i don't know what the hell i'm talking about and i'm going to try to get the other guy to buy it."

they might try to come back to you if nobody else buys it. it doesn't matter though, all you gotta do is fill out one of those fraud claims on ebay there and tell trish and her son where they can put their engine.

excuse me if it sounds as if i'm venting but i have purchased a couple items on ebay that had misleading descriptions and photos. i won a grille once and in the photos you can see most of the grille except the where all of the little clips on the back are broken off. it's no big deal, i can just jb weld some back on but it's the principality of it all. it sucks that ebay isn't a place to buy things anymore, it's a haven for scammers to make a living. i still visit the place quite frequently, but it's extremely hard for me to trust anyone. most of them don't even cooperate when you "ask seller a question." they don't get back to you until the auction is over, maybe because they are trying to scam people, maybe because they are very busy. either way, if i was selling something i would check my email frequently to make sure i answered all my potential customers questions as soon as possible. isn't this the ebay ranting forum?

Someone has just made me another offer for this engine that is paying more. So, I am not going to sell it to you. If you were so unsure as you are, you shouldn't have bid on this engine. I am a very trustworthy person and this engine is what I have said it to be. I will make sure that the person that really wants this engine will give you perfect feedback and I will give you a non paying bidder feedback. Thanks

keep all emails between the both of you to send to ebay if they request them. and threaten to file a fraud claim if he can't work with you to resolve this like gentlemen

http://crs.ebay.com/aw-cgi/ebayisapi.dll?crsstartpage

you can respond to any negative feedback you might get, a slight chance to defend yourself to future business.

edit-- nevermind, you already did

I used your link and went to file, but i cant file until 30 days after the auction...so i will do that and in the mean time i will be saving all the emails from him. that way i cant get in trouble for not paying, because he said he was giong to sell it to another user. and thanks, i was the first to post on his feedback so i got the first strike, and i did threaten to file fraud alert on him, and he said to go ahead and do it. so i am not sure what is up with this punk, and he still thinks his motor can do 350...HAHAH...Thanks all..later

ok, he came through with the pictures, now did i just scam myself out of a to good to be true deal????

you tell me...

Because these pictures are so lame i wrote this to him...

3-11-03 - Thanks, but these pictures only tell me that you have an engine, they still dont tell me what kind of engine it is...because i still dont think your selling a GTR, maybe a GTX, but there are no NEW GTR's. if you Really want to prove your right, take off that shrink wrap and show me the turbo, the bottom of the intake manifold, and the block code printed on the head on the distributor side. and if you come up with these pictures then i will stop even thinking about that report, but i am still non convinced that you even have a GTR and you definatly dont have a 350 hp engine..Aaron

so we will see what he comes up with

You have the right to do as you please. reflective material and my . Block serial # 198500-0460 I can't get to the block number I don't have a engine lift. You can call J-spec and talk to Derrick to whom I purchased the engine from. So tell that to fraud!! 1-310-951-6282 3,000-4,000 miles test out of a car. Retail 1800. I don't lie to people!! I wouldn't want that to happen

Funny that he supposedly got the engine from "JSPEC" but used the Corksport picture. Also the only Jspec that I could find was online only and didn't have a phone number, or sell mazda engines. Third, he said talk to derrick, quite similar to derrick from Corksport. And if he did mistakenly call corksport jspec then he must have mistakenly typed the wrong phone number

EDIT* The area code he/she gave you is for californy.

310 CA-8 S California: Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, West Los Angeles

If that makes any difference.

Well, you could start with asking the location of "jspec" ask what derrick's position in the company is. Like I said, 310 is the area code for California, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, West Los Angeles so if for example he tries to tell you that number is from say, Oregon, where Corksport is located......... You get the idea. Ask them for a website address.
I tried jspec.com, .net and .org, only one was an auto parts place that didn't have a phone number, and didn't even sell mazda engines after I searched the site.

You could hassle him/her/whoever the hell it is by asking why they used the exact picture of the engine from the Corksport website rather than a picture that would no doubt be advertised on this "Jspec" website, or take their own pictures.

Who has a GTR engine that might be able to verify the marking here.

It says "X turbo intercooled"
Just from my own lack of knowledge on distinguishing markings on the GTX and GTR engines, I'd have to say that this would be a GTX engine if anything. But thats just because I see that X rather than an R for example if it were the GTR engine.
