Question DX and DOHC??

Maybe "Carfax" has no idea what they are talking about, but entered my VIN into there site today, and it came back with the correct vehicle... 1994 Mazda Protege "DX", but under Engine type it says I have "DOHC"??

Is this right or wrong, I dont think it can be right, unless I have Canadian Car? How would I be able to tell?

This is copied off the site...

VIN: JM1BG2245R0805411
Year/Make/Model: 1994 MAZDA PROTEGE DX
Body Style: Sedan 4 DR
Engine Type: 1.8L L4 MFI DOHC 16V
Manufactured In: JAPAN

What's going on?

Oh Yea, and I don't know if it was changed before I got the car, but it also has the LX muffler, with the dual tip.

Carfax says DOHC for all models -- it is wrong. If you had a canadian model, you'd have even less of a chance of having a DOHC. If you have a DOHC it will have a plastic looking valve cover with the spark plugs directly through the top. If you have a sohc it will be a metal valve cover with the spark plugs coming in at about 45 degrees below the cover.

This is what the SOHC looks like:

Thank you for the clarification, it is a SOHC...

By the way, is it bad to have the LX muffler on my car, or is it an improvement in anway, or is there no difference?

Thanks a bunch.
