lets...see. i still have my 323 and no im not selling it anymore but i still bought the crx . Anyways i was at sacramento raceway about 3 weeks ago and saw this lx bone stock from the outside 5 speed. I dont kno what he got under the hood but the car sound stock to me and he was hitting 16.0's consistent full interior stock wheels. But when i saw this comment i think it was on this forum he got a black 323 with a non turbo 1.8 bp engine in it he was running 16.8........and that made me change my mind! i think that car sucks!!! its either he cant drive or maybe how he tuned his car but it is too damn slow.
So u guys are telling me i can get this car moving with the 1.8 bp engine in it stock tranny and be able to hit 15's? i saw bp engine cuts off at 6,000 rpm redline how come u guys said it cuts off at 7,000 rpm.

i remember this post about 16.8 but that was whitout the sea level correction. with the correction this guy was someting like 16.2 . just like Chastan said, the DOHC red ligne is at 7000 and the cut off is at 7400 rpm, i know i hit it last summer hehe.

the crx is a nice car, is the one i like to most in honda...

Yea, I was very suprised with the results of the BP in the 323, I would have thought much quicker. Maybe he can't drive, or maybe there are some serious tuning issues. The 323 has a couple hundred lbs. advantage over the pro lx, it's beyond me why he ran a slower time?

dru323 also has a BP in his car, but it's an auto, I wonder if he's ever went to the track.

ok im confused. I have a protege gauge and got it off of an automatic protege and the redline was at 6k . Is it because of the fact that its an automatic?
this may i will get the engine for my CRX then after that one for my 323 ...hopefully. NO BP-T engine tho i dont like turbo i would rather go for NOS. but thats me .......

The reason it redlines at 6k is not because it's an auto tranny, but because it's from a protege DX. The DX has a 1.8l sohc, and redlines at 6k instead of 7k like the 1.8l dohc.

I was consistantly running low 15's in my stock 323 GT. I live in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada. We have but one legal drag weekend around here a year. My best personal time was 15.18 with a .561 reaction time. My budy has a civic si (cold air, 2.5" exhaust) blah blah blah his best time was 15.62.

How are you guys only running 16's? The BP-DE (not the BP-t...that is the designation for a JDM turbo BP, hence the T) is capable in stock form of a mft. claimed 16.5. With any minor bolt-ons rims, exhaust, etc...you should be able to get into the high 15's. Just go out and spend 200 or so dollars for like PaceSetter exhaust, or go to a muffler shop, buy a muffler and get some 2.5in tubing for cheap. You can make ur pro fast, hell stock its faster than most out there that are new now, and it is well worth it. I love my pro, and i wouldnt trade it for anything but a new one.

Nice pic, Jesse. I've been meaning to ask you but too lazy to PM you, how did you like those Enkei rims that you had on your car on Wil's featured pro site? They are beautiful, almost just what I'm looking for, very BBS style. How much did they weigh? Still have 'em?
