One day I went to turn on my air conditioner, and I noticed that the lever that adjusts the temperature of the air coming out of the vents was harder to adjust than usual (it gave more resistance.) Now, it is nearly impossible to push the lever all the way left (cold), and no matter how far you push it over, it is like it is stuck on hot. Everything else seems to work, but I don't know how to fix this. Little help please?

 

i would say go to the junkyard and get a new one.
