Well, you can't ask for better than that. That gets me out of the junkyards & looking at a new Addco or ST 7/8" bar. Have to believe the Capri is the wrong dimension, too. Thanks, Davard. You've saved a lot of time, effort, money & skinned knuckles. 'Preciate it.

Well bad news, I got the rear strut bar alright but I got the wrong one

Any one interested in buying a rear strut bar for a MX6 93 ?

It took almost two months to get it from Canada, I don't want to deal with those guys from Evotec, they're the worse.

Good day

Yeah. I actually scrapped the right side of the front tie bar when I took a mild rise in the road at a corner. I gassed it while I was taking the rise, which was around the apex, and when I went over the rise, the car came down and scrapped just a tiny, tiny bit. I don't think it would be a prob if I had the tokicos in.
Though, MazdaspeedWest has using them while autox'in, and I haven't heard of him scrapping the bars. *shrug*

Later on.
I have never scraped the bar even during full out racing, as Bryan mentioned. A few ppl have experienced knocking up against the oil pan...which was a small design change from the prototype (which is on my car), but a rubber plug of some sort will cure that easily.

they did improve handling

Yeah, even on my car without good struts, no poly bushings, it improved handling a great deal.

I, too, noticed the knocking against the oil pan. It happens when I'm reving pretty high in first and then let off the accelerator or usually when I'm in reverse and am too hard on the accelerator.
I was thinking about the rubber plug thing. I just don't know where to find something that would fit ideally. I guess I have something else to look for while at the yard tomorrow.

Later on.

Hello, I was wondering if some one could tell me if there is a difference in spring rates for the Protege Lx and the 323 hatchback. The reason I'm asking is because I recently swaped the engine in my 1990 323 hatchback for the Protege LX DOHC. So after the swap the car does not handle the same, I have to take the corners slower, other wise the car will go straigth !!

I replaced all 4 struts with SensaTrac Monroe, But still doing the same. I also have a upper strut bar, and before the swap the car used to handle really nice, even with bad shocks.
I already have the front springs from the Protege LX but I wanted to make sure that replacing them will fix this problem.

Here is a link to some pics of my project.

Any help please?

Thanks
