Hello all,

My manual shifter has a ton of play from side to side in gear. I would like to tighten it up, but I don't want to change the **** or boot. Will the 3rd gen shifter, Pacesetter, or B & M work with the stock **** and boot? Which do y'all recommend?

I have read the installation instructions on the various sites (ProtegeTech, Automediazone, and GroHarlem's site), but I have also read at least one bad post on the bronzeoil bushings.

Does anyone have a setup that they like or recommend that is an upgrade while still appearing stock? Is this play just something I should live with?

I think I'll just live with it. I appreciate your help. I would have thought new bushings would have helped, so it is good to hear that they don't in this case - saved me some time and money.
