quick rpm's question 92 DX 5 speed

No I don't have a tach so if someone could figure this out for me I would appreciate it...
Anyways I was playin around and decided to have some fun at a stoplight, I don't care what anyone says, DX's can go like stink when you push them and peel like a bat out of hell.
Anyways what kind of RPMs would I have been in first doing 40km/h (25mph)

Also what are the revs at 60mph in 5th

Thanks

I think (am not sure) that it should be around 3000 rpm

at 40km/h on first gear, you should be at 3500rpm-4000rpm

1). Yes, the first-gen DXs (or SEs) are pretty quick. They give up some HP, but have about the same torque and less weight. 0-60 they are close to the LX, because their 2nd is good for 60+ (vs. 58 or so for the LX). The LX's biggest advantages are the close ratios in the tranny, four-wheel discs with much larger rotors in front, and bigger tires and wheels.

2) 40 kph in first, with stock tire size, would be about 4500-4600rpm.
Approximate speed in gears:
1st - 35 mph
2nd - 65 mph
3rd - 94 mph
4th - 110-115mph (approx. - drag limited)
5th - probably less than 4th, due to tall gearing (110 mph in 5th is ~4300rpm)

Above speeds are assuming 6500 rpm redline and 22.7" tall 175/70-13 tires. By exceeding redline (and assuming the DX has a rpm limiter) you could likely go a little faster in the first 3 gears.

3) 60 mph in 5th gear in the DX is about 2300-2400 rpm.
